Beetroot juice


That's not red wine, in case you're wondering... :D I couldn't find any glasses in my house except for the wine glasses so I decided to use them. Anyway, the deep red hue does kinda resemble that of red wine... hee. 


I made this beetroot juice last night, mainly because I didn't want the beetroot in my fridge to go to waste... :D After googling and reading through several beetroot juice recipes, I decided to go with the one that best suits my palate - the beetroot, carrot and apple juice combi!

It's recommended to use a juicer instead of a blender for the juice but I only have a blender so I had to strain the juice after blending it...


Beetroot juice





Ingredients:

  • 1 small beetroot
  • 2 small carrots
  • 1 medium-sized apple



Method:
Remove the peels of the veggies and fruit and just juice them! :D 
(I'm paranoid about the peels because these aren't organic but if you're ok with the peels, you can just scrub the skins then juice the fruit and veggies)


As simple as ABC... :D

Alicia took quite a few sips of this... must be because it's sweet... lol.

Also you may want to note that beetroot juice should be combined with other juices as consuming purely beetroot juice could cause temporary paralysis of your vocal chords, make you break out in hives, increase your heart rate, cause chills or a fever.
