The Letter C - Caterpillar

I didn't actually mean to introduce the letter C yet but since Alicia found the new caterpillar activity I made for her (and she was REALLY excited about it!), I decided to just start since we've been on B for quite awhile anyway... and I think she's bored with the B words!

She loves this little caterpillar... and you can get the template here. All I did was to cut the template in the shape of the letter C with an art scissors, cut out the individual parts of the caterpillar then laminate all of these and cut again... hmm... actually rather time-consuming. But I'm glad she liked it... then it makes the effort worth it.... There's actually another add-on for older kids who can use this same activity for counting. I think at this moment, I just want Alicia to concentrate on the alphabet first so I'll add the numbers later!

Trying to wear shoes...

Alicia's been trying to wear her shoes lately... here's a short clip... (she hasn't succeeded yet)

My little independent gal...

... has learnt to wear her own pants! Hehe... She eventually succeeded on her own though in the video, I only managed to capture the process of trying to put the pants on...

The letter B (Part II)

I finally got down to finishing up some stuff I've been putting off! I was lying on the sofa taking a rest just now but the unfinished materials kept bugging me so I decided to get it done once and for all...

Here's the collage cum matching activity set for the letter B...

and a 'button'-pasting activity... velcro's indeed very useful... (but I wish it's cheaper!!)

Anyway, the best part about the A3 backing sheet of this word-pic matching activity set is that I've made it to accomodate the words and pics of the alphabets, so it's not just used for teaching the letter B. Materials are really expensive so it's definitely important for me to make sure that materials can be, as far as possible, reused for another activity! :D

*Hop over to Simply Mommie's Precious Handmades to view this learning aid and other interesting learning aids! :)*

And here's the bookmark that she painted the other day (which turned out really pretty):

Left: letting the bookmarks dry after the fingerpainting (or rather her hands)
Right: the completed bookmark (made by pasting the two coloured sheets together) and a letter B sticker pasted on both sides

And here's Alicia playing with the button-pasting activity with the collage in the background... She was definitely more interested in the penguin!! well... who wouldn't? :)

JG Bilingual PlayClub (27/2)

As mentioned in the earlier post, my hubby brought Alicia to JG on his own that day since I was down with flu and anyway, it's Daddies' Week so it's really appropriate that he should be there in place of me. :D

She was, according to my hubby, generally well-behaved and she was looking around for me after lesson.. haha.

Here's her art for the day:
